Hello guys, hope you all doing good. 😊 In this section I would carry on explaining the main points of Chaos Magick but before that let’s shed a light on the concept of “Kia” as a fundamental substance in Magick.

As the book defines, Kia can be the soul, spirit or life force, one can not experience Kia directly cause it’s the basis of consciousness and it has no fixed qualities which the mind can latch on to. Kia is the consciousness, it is the elusive “I” which confers self-awareness but does not seem to consist of anything itself. It can sometimes be felt as ecstasy or inspiration, but it is deeply buried in the dualistic mind.Magick is concerned with giving the Kia more freedom and flexibility and with providing means by which it can manifest its occult power.

Following our previous part, another exercise to gain magical trance is “Object Concentration”; giving a fixed dead stare to an object. It can be practiced against any object like a mark on the wall, something in the distance or a star in night sky. To hold on an object with absolutely fixed unwavering gaze for more than a few moments proves extraordinary difficult, yet it must be persisted in for hours at a time. Yeah…The mind can act just like a jerk to grab one’s attention or find something else to think of during this exercise but practice makes perfect, guys. Another interesting exercise is “Sound Concentration”. The part of the mind in which verbal thoughts arise is brought under magical control by concentration on sounds mentally imagined. One can select any simple sound of one or more syllables like Aum, Om, Zazas Zazas or whatever. The chosen sound is repeated over and over in mind to block all other thoughts. No matter how inappropriate the sound seems, one must persist with it. Eventually the sound may seem to repeat itself automatically or even in sleep and these would be the encouraging signs. My own experience was also the same, I chose the word “cocoon” then it was repeating itself in my dream and I became aware of it in that dream. 😉 Sound concentration is the key to words of power and certain forms of spell casting. There is another exercise which called “Image Concentration”. We can actually use all our senses to gain the magical trance and that makes Chaos Magick both practical and pleasant at the same time. A simple shape, such as a triangle, circle, square, cross, or crescent, is chosen and held in the mind's eye, without distortion, for as long as possible. Only the most determined efforts are likely to make the imagined form persist for any time. At first the image should be sought with the eyes closed. With practice it can be projected onto any blank surface. This technique is the basis of casting sigils and creating independent thought forms. We all know these abilities are highly abnormal and usually inaccessible to human consciousness, as they demand such inhuman concentration, but the rewards are great.

To be continued…

Thanks for reading guys, hope you enjoyed it and don’t forget to share your wonderful ideas or experiences with us. 🤗

I guess the reason the mind cannot latch on to it is because of the fact that it's beyond the duality! As soon as its being put into the dual container of the brain, it's no longer the nature, but the interpretation of it.

Really love the way he describes it! without any unnecessary information. Then I assume the magical act, including invocation, divination, enchantment, etc., could be achieved by uniting the personal Will with the substance of the Chaos.

Let's take the sigil for instance, when working with sigil the magician shall get into the state of trance , direct his/her Kia toward the object of meditation which would be sigil in this case! Once the sigil is charged, it shall be banished totally from the subject's conscious mind! In this way, the sigil which is a symbolic representation of the magical intention, will be put into the chaos machine of the universe and finds it's way through, and manifest accordingly!

And if I want to boil down this subject, it is consists of 3 (or maybe 4) primary steps for accomplishing the magical act and that is to say:

0. Accumulation of Kia (Prana) - This is not mentioned here but I assume it is one of the most important steps in any magical act.

1. Levitation of the consciousness from the sensory body

2. Charging the magical objective and drop it into the chaos

3. Banishing the magical objective from the conscious awareness of the subject

Am I right Hathor? 🙂

Yup, I guess you’ve got it in a precise way. Kia has nothing to do with duality and that’s why we must create such a trance state as a temple for Kia to be understood since a dual mind can’t.

And yes, Sigil can be a competent example to get the subject well.Actually all these basic exercises for creating a magical trance state (I’d rather to use “create” instead of “gain”, since it has steps and stages) are making the magician prepared for some bigger aimed rituals or exercises “to cause that CHANGE”.To master an art one needs practice and practice and we all know magick is a wonderful art, too. How nice to start numbering the steps by 0 😎 …and yeah, in a summary that’s all about the steps in Sigil and can be also true about the exercises I talked about.I may talk about Sigil in other parts and clarify it in more detailed ways.

Thank you,my friend 😊

“to cause that CHANGE”.

Well, now we are talking about how to make the change , but how can we best know what change to make? I mean, living in this complex reality, how can we really find out our way through.

Is that something to be discussed in this context?

@dreamer sorry for the late reply...Actually that complex reality you've mentioned sometimes can twist us so damn hard 😬 😀 but anyways I'm alive...

I guess there's no specific definition for "The Change", since it could be different for any individual who's seeking or eager to create the change...depends on one's goal, aim or perspective...But I think a clear vision is needed to find out...and seems that Chaos Magick is capable to help us in the most perspicuous way 🙂
